The East Point is a retro-style bar fridge from Schmick, with a chrome handle and a bottle opener built into the front door. If you'd rather leave the retro look behind, Schmick can fit a plain door instead, and the fridge can also be branded with your own design, which makes it a gift idea too. It's a well-established model, with the factory producing more than 35,000 units a year.
At 70 litres, it holds up to 85 cans across two large shelves and a half shelf, so there's a decent stock of cold drinks on hand. It's built for indoor use, with a solid door and tropical rating that help it chill well, and two adjustable feet so it can sit level wherever it goes.

Building it in? Your cavity needs to be at least 470 mm wide, 575 mm deep and 710 mm high, leaving 20 mm each side, 100 mm at the back and 20 mm on top for ventilation. Built in with the right ventilation, it runs quieter, cools better and lasts longer.
What it costs to run. Left on all year, it uses about 183 kWh (0.5 kWh a day). At 30c per kWh that is roughly $55 a year. Your own rate is on your power bill.
