This Schmick SC23C is a 23 litre fridge built to sit beside a coffee machine and keep milk cold and ready to pour. Triple glazed LOW-E glass and an inner fan that forces air over the evaporator plate keep the temperature even and stable, and holes on each side let a milk hose run straight through to the machine.
At 23 litres with room for two cartons on its chromed shelving, it suits a servery, coffee station or small bar where milk needs to stay close at hand. The door is self closing and lockable, and the unit can sit indoors or outdoors as long as it's enclosed and under cover.

Building it in? Your cavity needs to be at least 390 mm wide, 525 mm deep and 520 mm high, leaving 20 mm each side, 100 mm at the back and 20 mm on top for ventilation. Built in with the right ventilation, it runs quieter, cools better and lasts longer.
What it costs to run. Left on all year, it uses about 329 kWh (0.9 kWh a day). At 30c per kWh that is roughly $99 a year. Your own rate is on your power bill.
