A drinks fridge dressed as a phone box

This Schmick upright fridge takes the shape of a classic red telephone box, complete with the crown and TELEPHONE signage on top. It also comes in pastel blue, pink, yellow, purple, green and orange, and Schmick can personalise the design if a phone box isn't your style.

At 160 litres and with a narrow upright shape, it suits tight spots like a bar corner, games room or entertaining area. It holds up to 144 cans across five adjustable shelves, the door locks for security, and it can be set up indoors or in an enclosed outdoor space under cover.

Building it in? Your cavity needs to be at least 470 mm wide, 625 mm deep and 1920 mm high, leaving 40 mm each side, 150 mm at the back and 40 mm on top for ventilation. Built in with the right ventilation, it runs quieter, cools better and lasts longer.
What it costs to run. Left on all year, it uses about 767 kWh (2.1 kWh a day). At 30c per kWh that is roughly $230 a year. Your own rate is on your power bill.
