A dice design fridge for 38 cans
The Schmick Dice turns a single oversized die into a 46 litre bar fridge, with white spots set into red on all four sides and a chrome bottle opener built into the door. Schmick makes more than 35,000 of this model each year, so the design and build stay consistent. If you would rather go without the retro handle and opener, a plain door is available instead.
It suits a games room, home bar or office corner, running indoors in ambient temperatures from 10°C to 32°C. Open it up and there is one large shelf and one half shelf, enough room for 38 cans, with two adjustable feet underneath to level it on any floor.

Building it in? Your cavity needs to be at least 470 mm wide, 570 mm deep and 520 mm high, leaving 20 mm each side, 100 mm at the back and 20 mm on top for ventilation. Built in with the right ventilation, it runs quieter, cools better and lasts longer.
What it costs to run. Left on all year, it uses about 77 kWh (0.21 kWh a day). At 30c per kWh that is roughly $23 a year. Your own rate is on your power bill.
