This Schmick mini bar fridge pairs a retro body in black with a chrome handle and a bottle opener fitted to the door, so a drink can be opened without hunting one down. More than 35,000 are built each year, and it can be branded with your own design, which makes it a good option for a gift.
It's designed for indoor use, with room inside for 85 cans across two large shelves and a half shelf. The solid door is tropical rated, so it keeps drinks properly cold, and two adjustable feet help it sit level on the floor.

Building it in? Your cavity needs to be at least 470 mm wide, 575 mm deep and 710 mm high, leaving 20 mm each side, 100 mm at the back and 20 mm on top for ventilation. Built in with the right ventilation, it runs quieter, cools better and lasts longer.
What it costs to run. Left on all year, it uses about 183 kWh (0.5 kWh a day). At 30c per kWh that is roughly $55 a year. Your own rate is on your power bill.
