Open display chilling, built to save power
This is an open front, multi deck display fridge that puts a high efficiency compressor, German EC fans, LED lighting and Low E glass sides to work keeping running costs down. An electronic controller manages the cooling, and a hidden night curtain pulls up to cover the display and cut power use once the shop is closed.
It's built for indoor retail store use, holding 170 litres across three fully adjustable shelves, enough room for over 100 of the 600 ml bottles. It sits on castor wheels so it can be moved into position, and runs at an Energy Star rating of 4 while cooling to 2°C in a normal room environment.

Building it in? Your cavity needs to be at least 650 mm wide, 760 mm deep and 1520 mm high, leaving 20 mm each side, 100 mm at the back and 20 mm on top for ventilation. Built in with the right ventilation, it runs quieter, cools better and lasts longer.
What it costs to run. Left on all year, it uses about 2,613 kWh (7.16 kWh a day). At 30c per kWh that is roughly $784 a year. Your own rate is on your power bill.
