This Schmick HUS-SC50W is tropical rated, so it keeps working in ambient temperatures from 10°C up to 38°C and still chills down to 1°C-2°C. Inside, a 12 volt fan forces air over the evaporator plate, keeping the temperature even from the top shelf to the bottom. The door is dual glazed tempered LOW E glass, built for the swings of an Aussie summer.
At 50 litres it holds up to 38 cans, with two adjustable HD chromed shelves that move between 190, 225 and 315 millimetre heights to suit cans, bottles or a mix of both. The door is lockable and reversible, so it can open from the left or right depending on where it sits, indoors or in an enclosed outdoor space under cover.

Building it in? Your cavity needs to be at least 475 mm wide, 590 mm deep and 530 mm high, leaving 20 mm each side, 100 mm at the back and 20 mm on top for ventilation. Built in with the right ventilation, it runs quieter, cools better and lasts longer.
What it costs to run. Left on all year, it uses about 478 kWh (1.31 kWh a day). At 30c per kWh that is roughly $143 a year. Your own rate is on your power bill.
