Will this fit in a standard narrow cupboard?
This unit is designed for tight spaces, but "standard" varies. You need a minimum internal cabinet width of 317mm (ideal for a 350mm or 400mm wide external cabinet module). It also requires a minimum internal depth of 520mm and a height of 340mm. If your pipework or siphon is directly behind the bin, please measure the depth carefully to ensure the unit can close fully.
Bin Lid Attachment Explained
Is the lid attached to the bins or the cabinet?
The Hideaway system uses a unique "friction-fitted" lid that remains fixed inside the cabinet. As you pull the door open, the bins slide away from under the lid. When you close the door, the bins slide back under the lid, sealing them automatically. This means you don't have to touch a dirty bin lid to throw rubbish away.

How strong are the runners?
The unit uses high-quality German-engineered soft-close runners. These are dynamic, over-extension runners designed to hold up to 40kg of weight (dynamic load). They are significantly smoother and more durable than standard ball-bearing slides often found on cheaper hardware store bins.
Cleaning Pull Out Bin Lids
How do I clean the lid if it's stuck inside the cupboard?
While the lid stays in the cabinet during daily use, the entire lid unit is removable for deep cleaning. You can unclip it from the mounting bracket to wash it in the sink with warm soapy water, ensuring no grime builds up on the underside over the years.
Avoiding Overfilled Kitchen Bins
What happens if I overfill the bin?
Because the lid is fixed inside the cabinet and doesn't lift up with the bin, overfilling can cause a jam. If rubbish piles up higher than the rim, it will catch on the fixed lid when you try to push the bin back in. It is best to empty this bin before it reaches the absolute brim to ensure smooth closing and to keep the cabinet interior clean.
