In most cases, these are not a direct "unscrew and swap" replacement for standard side-mounted or white roller runners. Undermount runners like the Hettich Quadro V6 require your drawer boxes to be built to very specific dimensions-typically with a slightly narrower width and a specific notch cut into the back panel to accommodate the runner tracks. If you are upgrading an existing cabinet, you will likely need to build new drawer boxes or significantly modify your current ones. These are best suited for new joinery or a complete drawer refit where you can ensure the drawer side thickness is 16mm or less.

How difficult is the installation for a DIY enthusiast?
This is an intermediate to advanced DIY task. While the "slide-on" assembly with the included clips makes the final connection satisfyingly simple (listen for the click), the setup requires accurate drilling and measuring. You will need to drill precise pilot holes for the clips on the underside of the drawer and cut a specific hook-hole in the back of the drawer. If you are comfortable with a tape measure, square, and drill, it is very achievable. However, if your cabinets are out of square or bowed, you may find the setup frustrating as these runners tolerate very little misalignment.

No, they are engineered specifically to eliminate "clunk." Do Drawer Runners Need Lubrication
Do these runners require maintenance or lubrication?
Under normal household conditions, the Quadro V6 is self-cleaning and maintenance-free. The rolling action of the ball bearings pushes dust out of the tracks naturally. You should absolutely avoid adding grease, oil, or silicone spray, as this will only trap dust and potentially gum up the dampeners. If you do spill something sticky (like honey or syrup) into the mechanism, the best approach is to unclip the drawer (using the quick-release catches), wipe the runner with a damp cloth, dry it thoroughly, and clip the drawer back in.
