Beer and wine, each in their own zone

This Schmick bar fridge keeps beer and wine at their own temperatures, with two zones you control independently from 0°C to 18°C, even in ambient temperatures up to 38°C. The front and rear glass is triple-glazed and tempered LOW-E, and the wine side has switchable heated glass to stop condensation building up in humid weather. A lock keeps the drinks selection secure.

It vents at the front through the grille, so it builds in under a counter without any fuss, and suits an indoor entertaining area or an enclosed alfresco. Inside there's room for 110 cans and 34 wine bottles across 244 litres, loaded onto slide-out shelves that pull out for easy access.

Building it in? Your cavity needs to be at least 915 mm wide, 640 mm deep and 810 mm high, leaving 10 mm each side, 50 mm at the back and 10 mm on top for ventilation. Built in with the right ventilation, it runs quieter, cools better and lasts longer.
What it costs to run. Left on all year, it uses about 971 kWh (2.66 kWh a day), or about 1,256 kWh with the heated glass switched on. At 30c per kWh that is roughly $291 a year. Your own rate is on your power bill.
