Measure side to side inside the drawer box — not the cabinet, not the drawer front. Pick the option for your cabinet size and the tray comes narrower than the opening on purpose, so knives, tongs and serving spoons that will not fit a compartment can lie flat alongside it. Two spring-loaded spacers hold the modules steady and make a full-length compartment wherever you want one.
