This skinny upright fridge wears the classic Esso fuel pump design across its body, with the badge detail built into a glass light box on top. Underneath the branding it runs on a German EBM fan for quiet, low energy cooling, a quality compressor and an Italian Carel electronic controller. Triple glazed LOW E glass keeps the door from fogging up so the display stays clear.
At 160 litres it holds up to 144 cans across five adjustable shelves, with a lockable door that suits a bar, man cave or rumpus room. It cools to 0°C even when it's 32°C or hotter outside, and is rated for use indoors or outdoors as long as it's enclosed and under cover. If the Esso look isn't what you're after, Fuel Pump can wrap the same fridge in a different design.

Building it in? Your cavity needs to be at least 470 mm wide, 625 mm deep and 1920 mm high, leaving 40 mm each side, 150 mm at the back and 40 mm on top for ventilation. Built in with the right ventilation, it runs quieter, cools better and lasts longer.
What it costs to run. Left on all year, it uses about 767 kWh (2.1 kWh a day). At 30c per kWh that is roughly $230 a year. Your own rate is on your power bill.
