Replacing Old Handles With Existing Holes
Customers asked these questions about Furniture Handle Studio
Answers from experts.
The Furniture Handle Studio features a standard 96mm hole centre. If you are swapping out old hardware, take a tape measure and check the distance from the center of one existing screw hole to the center of the other. If it measures exactly 96mm, this handle will be a perfect, direct swap. Note that while the screw holes are 96mm apart, the handle itself extends to a total length of 172mm, giving it a much more substantial visual presence.
Handles Without Screws In The Box
Why doesn't this handle come with screws in the box?
Because cabinet panel thicknesses vary drastically across different kitchens and wardrobes (from thin 16mm doors to double-thick 34mm pot drawer fronts), the manufacturer does not include generic screws to prevent waste and improper fitting. You must order your screws separately.
Preventing Matte Finish From Showing Fingerprints
Will the matte finish show fingerprints?
No, and that is one of its greatest advantages! Unlike high-gloss polished chrome which shows every single smudge and water droplet, the matte plating diffuses light and naturally resists fingerprints, keeping your kitchen looking immaculate with significantly less wiping.
172mm Handle Length For Small Overhead Cupboards
Will the 172mm length look too big for small overhead cupboards?
The 172mm overall length paired with a sleek 24mm width strikes a beautiful balance. It is long enough to provide a modern, architectural look and an excellent grip, but the slim profile prevents it from looking bulky or overwhelming, even on smaller overhead joinery.
Edge Safety On Handles
Are the edges sharp to grip?
Despite its clean, contemporary lines, the handle is engineered with user comfort in mind. The contours and edges are gently finished so that when your fingers wrap behind the bar to pull, it feels smooth, ergonomic, and completely safe without digging into your skin.
Cleaning Matte Finish Handles Properly
How should I clean them to keep the matte finish looking new?
The matte plating is incredibly low maintenance. To clean it, just wipe it down with a damp microfibre cloth. Avoid using harsh chemical sprays, acidic cleaners, or abrasive scouring pads, as these can permanently scratch the matte coating.
