It depends entirely on the width of your drawers. As a general design rule, a handle should span roughly one-third of the drawer's total width. For standard 450mm to 600mm wide drawers, the 160mm hole-centre option provides a perfectly balanced, understated look. For extra-wide pot drawers (800mm to 900mm) or tall pantry doors, the dramatic 288mm length is highly recommended to ensure you get adequate leverage without the handle looking lost on a vast panel.
Covering Old Handle Marks With New Handles
I'm replacing old handles. Will these cover the old marks?
The Urban handle features a very clean, linear mounting point where it meets the cabinetry. It does not have wide "feet" or a backplate (rose). If your old handles have left significant scratching, paint fading, or indentation "halos" around the 160mm drill holes, this slimline handle may not fully conceal those marks. We recommend giving your cabinet face a good clean or a light polish before installation.
