114mm Pull-Out Fit For Existing Flush Pull Holes
Customers asked these questions about Jena Flush Pull Handle 114mm Matt White
Answers from experts.
If you are replacing an old recessed handle, precision is everything. Flush pulls require a very specific routed cutout. Your existing hole must be smaller than the Jena's overall 114mm outer flange (so the lip covers the messy edges), but large enough to accommodate the internal recessed body. Always measure both the external footprint and the internal cavity depth of your current handle before ordering.
Special Tools Required For Installation
Do I need special tools, like a router, to install this?
Yes. Because this is a "flush" pull, it does not just screw onto the front of your door. You (or your cabinet maker) must route or chisel a precise cavity into the timber for the body of the handle to sit inside. The outer lip then rests flush against the face of the door. It requires more carpentry skill to install than a standard bar handle.
Matt White Finish Maintenance And Cleaning
Will the Matt White finish get dirty quickly?
It is the nature of any white hardware in a high-touch zone to show dirt, makeup, or cooking grease faster than a black or brushed nickel handle. However, Momo Handles uses a premium, non-porous matte powder-coat. A quick wipe with a damp microfibre cloth will easily lift everyday grime and restore its crisp, clean appearance.
Cavity Slider Grip Depth For Heavy Doors
Is the grip deep enough for a heavy solid-core cavity slider?
The 114mm Jena features a carefully engineered internal recess that provides an excellent, comfortable grip for standard internal doors, wardrobes, and kitchen drawers. However, if you have exceptionally massive, heavy, solid-core architectural doors (like a 3-metre tall theatre room slider), you may want to test the grip, as very heavy doors sometimes require an oversized, deeper architectural pull for maximum leverage.
Installing On Glass Or Mirrored Doors
Can I install this on a glass or mirrored door?
No. Flush pulls require a solid substrate (like timber, MDF, or thick aluminium framing) so a cavity can be routed out to house the recessed body of the handle. You cannot glue a flush pull onto the flat, un-cut surface of a glass or mirrored door.
Preventing White Finish Yellowing Over Time
Will the white finish turn yellow after a few years?
Cheaper white plastics and low-grade paints are notorious for yellowing when exposed to sunlight over time. The Momo Jena utilizes a UV-stable powder-coat finish. This means it is highly resistant to sun damage and will maintain its pure, architectural matte white tone for years, even in sunlit kitchens or bedrooms.
