Schmick Upright Black Glass Door Wine Refrigerator - Model BD425W-B

135 bottles, stored exactly right

The Schmick BD425W-B holds 135 wine bottles across 14 slide-out telescopic shelves, each fitted with the patented rubber sliding saddle system so bottles of any size sit without touching. The door is triple glazed with LOW-E glass, which helps keep condensation off the glass, and its thin frame gives the front a sleek, simple line.

Front venting means it can be built into a cavity rather than needing clearance at the sides or back, and the door locks and is right-hinged with the handle on the left. It's designed for indoor use, and a matching beer fridge, model BD425B, is available if you want to run the two side by side.

Building it in? Your cavity needs to be at least 675 mm wide, 845 mm deep and 1840 mm high, leaving 40 mm each side, 150 mm at the back and 40 mm on top for ventilation. Built in with the right ventilation, it runs quieter, cools better and lasts longer.
What it costs to run. Left on all year, it uses about 453 kWh (1.24 kWh a day). At 30c per kWh that is roughly $136 a year. Your own rate is on your power bill.
