Schmick Upright Glass Door Wine Refrigerator - Model BD425W

135 bottles, kept exactly right

The BD425W holds 135 wine bottles across 14 slide-out telescopic shelves, each fitted with a sliding rubber saddle system that lets different sized bottles sit side by side without touching. Shelves adjust in 20 mm steps on ball-bearing runners, so you can space them to suit whatever you're storing. Triple-glazed LOW E glass keeps the door clear of condensation, while Noctua fans and a Jiaxipera compressor keep the cabinet quiet.

Finished in 304 stainless steel with a thin, flush profile, it suits a kitchen run, a bar or an entertaining area where space is tight. Front venting lets it sit built into a cavity, and it keeps cooling to 1°C even when the room around it reaches 38°C. The glass door locks, and a matching beer fridge (model BD425B) is available if you want the two side by side.

What it costs to run. Left on all year, it uses about 453 kWh (1.24 kWh a day). At 30c per kWh that is roughly $136 a year. Your own rate is on your power bill.
