Each character is machined from solid brass and finished with a double-layer lacquer coat that preserves the warm gold tone while resisting everyday handling. At 7cm in height, the scale reads clearly at door and entry distances without overpowering the surrounding surface. The finish has the depth and warmth characteristic of unlacquered brass, without the maintenance burden — though like all lacquered metals, it performs best in sheltered or interior conditions.
