Will this fit into my existing laundry cupboard?
This unit is designed for standard cabinet widths (typically 450mm or 600mm external width). However, the critical measurement is the internal width. You need to measure the clear space inside your cupboard (wall-to-wall) to ensure the runners can mount to the sides without packing. Also, check the depth-you generally need at least 505mm of clear depth to allow the drawer to close fully.

Can I install this at any height?
Yes, because it side-mounts to the carcass walls, you can position it wherever is most ergonomic for you. Many customers install it midway up a tall cabinet (waist height) so they don't have to bend down to throw clothes in, leaving the space below free for detergent storage or a second basket.
Runner Strength For Wet Laundry Loads
Will the runners handle a basket full of wet towels?
The unit uses high-quality soft-close slides, typically rated for 30kg-40kg. A 40L basket of dry clothes weighs very little, but even if you fill it with damp towels, the weight will rarely exceed 15kg. The runners are over-engineered for this purpose and will glide smoothly without sagging.

Is one basket enough for a family?
For a family of 4+, a single 44L basket will fill up very quickly (roughly one large washing machine load). We often recommend installing two units side-by-side or stacked vertically if you have the space. This allows you to sort "Darks" and "Whites" immediately, saving you from sorting piles of dirty laundry on the floor later.

Does it smell if I leave damp clothes in it?
